The Knights have been counted out every step of the way this year and the have gone against the grain and proven everyone wrong.
The stats are stacked against the Jets. Since 1973 a 2-1 lead has been doomsday for the team trailing with an 87.5 percent failure rate. So in other words, don’t go down 2-1 in the Western Conference Finals because you are most likely going to lose the series. The team that goes up 3-1, goes on to win the series 90 percent of the time. The safe bet in this one is with Vegas. Now the Jets are not chumps and they will put up a fight but they’re going to have to do it in hostile territory.
The bookies are going mad with the Golden Knights and they have been all season long. Vegas stands to lose a fortune if the Knights pull this off. There has been no home advantage in this seasons NHL playoffs, the road teams are an astounding 38-35 but through it all, the Golden Knights have found a way with a 5-1 home ice record.
On the other side of the country is another battle going on between the Capitals and the lightning and this one has turned into an all-out slug fest One minute the Caps look dominate and the Lightning look human, the next minute the Lightning look unbeatable and Washington looks like they found out how to blow it in the playoffs yet again.
The Capitals must find some heart and they must stop being soft! These guys are the New York Knick and Charles Smith. They have opportunity after opportunity and can’t find a way.
