While I won with the Reds yesterday, I feel that the value lies with the Cardinals this afternoon. Cincinnati is a fairly heavy favorite on the moneyline, which allows us to get the Cards at a very reasonable price on the run-line. Though we may not need them, those extra +1.5 runs could well come in handy. Both teams are desperately trying to keep within striking distance of the Brewers. That makes this a really big game for both teams, arguably even bigger for the Cards, as they're even further behind. (FanGraphs currently has the Brewers at 92.9% to make the playoffs, the Reds at 13.4% and the Cards at 2.3%.) Oviedo has allowed just six combined runs in his past three starts combined. Gray allowed five in his last start alone. The Reds are 2-3 in Gray's past five starts and one of the two wins came by one run. Oveido's last start resulted in a 1-run loss. Consider grabbing the extra +1.5 runs with the desperate visitors.

I'll take my chances with Cincinnati as a -162 home favorite against the Cardinals. The Reds have taken each of the first two games in this series and are set up for the sweep with Sunday's pitching matchup. 

Cincinnati will send out Sonny Gray, while the Cardinals turns to Johan Oviedo. It's been a struggle for Oviedo in 2021. He's made 12 starts and has posted a 5.23 ERA and 1.556 WHIP. St Louis has lost 9 of his 12 starts. 

Sonny Gray hasn't been as dominant as expected, but he's been showing some signs of getting on track. I like him here against a struggling Cardinals offense. Give me the Reds -162!
