I'm going with Broncos -4.5 in this matchup. They have one of the deepest rosters in the NFL. That kind of depth bodes well for their chances at a 5+ point win against a much thinner Falcons side.

With Denver planning to play its starters for around 15 plays compared to the Falcons at about 10, that gives them an edge as well.

I also like the Broncos' combination of Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger over Tua Tagovailoa/Cooper Rush in this matchup. Stidham is comfortable with Sean Payton's offense, while Tua and Rush are learning a new scheme under Kevin Stefanski.

Considering these favorable circumstances, I'll lay the points with the Broncos here.

The Marlins have looked better lately, going 5-5 in their last 10 games, but the Reds are 6-4 in their last 10 games with their offense starting to pick up too. The Reds are going with Burns in this one and he has looked great this season. He is 13-2 with a 2.61 ERA and he has been their ace this season. He is coming off a bad start in which he gave up 5 earned runs and the team has had some trouble with him lately too, losing 2 of their last 3 games with him starting, but that hasn't been a common theme for him this year and he will be looking to bounce back at home with a better start. The Marlins are going with Alcantara in this one and he has looked good this season. He is 13-6 with a 3.52 ERA and he has looked great lately. He gave up no runs in his last start and the team has won 3 games in a row now with him starting, but he hasn't looked his best on the road. The Marlins have had a lot more trouble in road games this season too and that could give the edge to the Reds here with the stronger starter. Look for the Reds to continue rolling with that hot offense and take advantage of this pitching matchup with their best on the mound.

San Francisco hurler Landen Roupp pitched exceptionally well in his most recent outing, scattering two hits and five walks across 5.1 innings pitched, in a matchup with the Detroit Tigers five days ago. Additionally, the Colorado Rockies have played dreadful baseball away from home in 2026, amassing a 21-41 win-loss record on the road. With that said, I am backing the San Francisco Giants on the moneyline in this game.

The Guardians were right in the race for the division and still are, but lately they have been sliding down the standings. They have been in a big slump, now 3-7 in their last 10 games, and they have one of the worst offenses in MLB too. The Padres have been rolling though, now 7-3 in their last 10 games, and their offense has looked a lot better over the last week. The Padres are going with King, he is 7-8 with a 3.37 ERA and he hasn't been giving up many runs lately. He is coming off another great start giving up 1 earned run which has been a common theme for him and the team has been having more success with him lately, winning 2 of their last 3 games with him starting. The Guardians are going with Williams in this one and he has looked good this year. He is 11-6 with a 3.55 ERA, but lately the team has had a lot of trouble with him. He only gave up 2 earned runs in his last start, but the team has lost 4 of their last 5 games with him starting and the bullpen has been giving up a lot more runs too. Look for the Padres to take advantage of this pitching matchup and stay hot against a slumping Guardians team with no offense.

Hall of Fame Game winners returning as road underdogs are 5-2 SU and 6-1 ATS in their next preseason outing this century, including a spotless 4-0 SU and ATS the last four times. Oddly enough, Buffalo’s entire preseason schedule features teams it flattened during the 2025 regular season, making motivation anything but a Bills advantage.
